| I have attended several of the Cheeky! events in the past month. Last week was very small at Bambu 2.0. But I was fortunate to meet Andy Lee and blessed to get this portrait sketched. He was articulate, sweet and incredibly talented. Check out his website and other pieces he has created. http://www.findandy.com/bio.cfm Micky told me to return on Aug. 12 for the more elaborate event and I did, accompanied by Rebecca and Brad. |
| We enter the Venue right next door to Bambu 2.0 on Bethel to the sounds of DJ Silvana. It was not too loud, it was perfect for the event and kept my toes atapping through each of my experiences. I am usually weary of DJs and their selections, but I enjoyed her choices very much. And being that she is beautiful never hurts! |
| The Cheeky! events always have drawings for prizes from local vendors like Bar 35, Brassiere du Vin and Bambu 2.0. I haven't won yet, but I keep my fingers crossed. |
| Rebecca and her cute figure went straight to the buy one get one racks of clothing. Six or seven racks of beautiful clothes for $20 or less with the second item half off. Vintage, reproductions of designer dresses, and various styles and colors. It was worth the look through. |
| I decided to try a facial given by the lovely Manuela with Arbonne products. It all smelled like a basket of citrus, and for those of you that know me and my love for all things lemon, it is a bit of heaven. I laid back in her chair and let her remove all my makeup and massage those botanical products into my skin. It was refreshing. Energizing. And apparently good for anti-aging. And I am getting on in years...;) |
| After my facial, I was sent over to the Bella Torre Academy, where Kecia Littman, Make up Director and her amazing students were assembled to make me beautiful. They have their work cut out for them! www.bellatorreacademy.com | |
| Rochelle assures me she is a professional and I am in good hands. |
| I need all the help I can get. |
| Rebecca enjoys a touch up to her makeup. She doesn't need the "work" I do! |
| All three of us enjoyed massages by the skilled Samantha Nelson. She offered complimentary five minute massages and it was worth every strong handed minute. Even Brad relaxed for a bit. She works at a local spa but is out promoting her private business. She offers in home massage (oh, yes people, IN YOUR HOME) for a reasonable price as well as will do parties. Drop her a line and ask her about her services. I know that I am interested in experiencing an hour of relaxation without having to get into my car and drive home. samialoha@hotmail.com |

| We decided on some pies over at J.J.Dolan's on Bethel, across the street from The Venue. Hand crafted and delicious. I got the spinach with garlic and ricotta cheese. So ono! The place gets a little louder then I can sometimes stand, but it was worth the stop over on Thursday night. http://www.jjdolans.com/ |
I was fortunate to get to spend the evening with my new friend, Rebecca. Talented artist, lovely woman and interesting human being. Check out her blogspot at

Mahalo to Rochelle for the makeup, Manuela for the facial, Samantha for the massage, the little mystery guy for the great champagne, the feet moving music spun by DJ Sylvana and Cheeky for putting on such fun events.
Looking forward to the next one.
