Brunch and Bumper Boats at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base

The Breakfast Club decided to change up the scenery and hit the Windward side of the island for brunch. Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Officers Club offers a huge spread, champagne brunch for a reasonable price. Hand rolled sushi, fresh fruit and everyone seemed to enjoy the blintzes, but my favorite was the eggs benedict and the made to order pancakes...so yum. http://www.mccshawaii.com/oclub_sunday.htm
The view. What a beautiful day.The food was ono and reasonably priced, but best part was our fun waitress (chatting about her 9 kids, ouch) and bringing us bottles of champagne to toast our friendship. We are sad to see Gail departing our lovely island once again, but excited for her new adventures in Cuba.
It started so innocent. We could have played a few rounds of mini golf, hit some balls in the batting cage, but no...you know what we did...yep...bumper boats. This crew is getting WET!
Merciless attack by the Jason. I am melting...
Gail and Kris trying to get back in the game. Kris has her game face and fighting stance going on!
Liz enjoying the power! Take that!
Brad and Kris "bump". Although as slow as these bumper boats went, I would call it a tap.
We got stuck. Some of our batteries were going dead. Brad's shooter was off so he resorted to splashing water via hand but he had the most speed so was able to avoid the gridlock. The other four of us were barely making it and were now in what appeared to be an aquatic town meeting.
Soaking wet, happy and a little tipsy from brunch, we tried to hold it together for our first bumper boat group photo.
But with this group (and did I mention champagne?), it doesn't take long for the goof to come out.

It is on the marine base. As long as you can get on base you can go to the Tiki Island. It's so fun. I am always up for bumper boating!
