One of my bestest friends, Trev, came to visit me in April.
The day that she arrived, I was fortunate enough to step in a hole and fracture my ankle.
I picked her up at the airport, limping, and we opened the evening at Ruby Tuesdays...toasting her arrival and the departure of my friends, Robin and Joye.
Spending the morning in the emergency room after dropping Robin and Joye at the airport made me tired. So we headed to White Plains to relax. Above are Trev's feet on this gorgeous Thursday. Christina and Trev helped me bring my things to the beach, I covered my boot with a plastic bag, and hobbled to my spot. Those black boots are HOT!

Boot Day 2 at Seabreeze. Mai Tais help the pain.

We ended met up with friends and family at the Hale Koa Barefoot Bar. We showed off the foot bling sans my booted foot.

Saturday brought me back to the RumFire where Brad and Trev deposited me while they went shopping for sun dresses in the International Market Place. I was happy with my DROID, book, view of Diamondhead and Waikiki Beach, and an endless supply of Mai Tais.

Back to the Hale Koa and our room. We spent the next evening and morning at the Barefoot Bar and swimming pool. Aaah... Relaxing.
Sunday afternoon I hobbled back to the beach, covered my boot and SAT through my entire turtle shift. Good for my handsome husband for picking up my slack.
Trev seemed to enjoy the beach and her new sundresses. She poses in front of our new sign asking for volunteers for our program.

The next few days were rainy and included a trip around island to a beautiful wedding spot.
But that's another entry for another day.

Sorry to hear about your ankle, but it doesn't seem to have slowed you down too much.
I don't know how you found that sunset! In three winters on Oahu, I haven't seen one that glorious. Guess I'll have to get back there next winter, huh?
Hope your ankle heals quickly.
