Aloha and e komo mai to my old friend, Robin, my new friend, Joye and their smuggled Georgia squirrel, Mai Tai. We have to keep him on the down low, no squirrels in Hawaii and there are strict rules about this kinda thing. I can see already this trip is going to be filled with excitement. Let the adventure begin.

Mai Tai experiences his first namesake at the Seabreeze Bar and Grille on Hickam Airforce Base. A little overcast, the sunset fairly quickly, but still offered a warm welcome to our southern friends.

Mai Tai suffered through the errands, the pedicure and couldn't wait to eat the fresh, ono sushi at Liz's favorite Kapolei sushi place, Kazoku. So hard to decide, but Joye and Robin helped him experience a variety of dishes.

Mai Tai marvels at Diamond Head and anxious to get to the pool for another drink.

Sun, Hale Koa pool, oil, and you got it, strong ass Mai Tais. Slow down little squirrel, we still have to hit Rum Fire's pau hana.

Sitting at the Rum Fire, drinking our Mai Tais and eating our pupus, we are wowed with a beautiful rainbow against the magestic Diamondhead.

Loving spending time with my wahines.

But Waikiki restaurants and bars are smoke free. Take a stroll on the board walk and gaze at the ocean if you want to light up.

We head to the eternity pool at the Sheraton and watch the Fire Dancer. Mai Tai is thrilled and Robin sacrificed her time to be photographed with our handsome, talented performer. The sun began to set on another fabulous Hawaiian day, coloring the sky with warm colors of pinks and orange. We wanted to get over to the Hale Koa Barefoot Bar and the fireworks I arranged just for Robin's birthday (wink wink).

The fireworks were a big hit as always. Our photos all came out a little blurry...it might have been user error, because we too were a little blurry from our day with Mai Tai, that lush. We packed up and headed to Zippy's and Loco Mocos.

The next day, we headed to the International Market Place. We are ready to get our shop on.

Be careful Mai Tai. Don't get too close to those koi...you just little thing.

Mai Tai, Surf's Up!

Waiting for Brad to pick us up, so we have stopped in to Jimmy Buffett's Happy Hour and you guessed it, Mai Tais....

Mai Tai relaxes in the Hale Koa hotel while Robin, Joye and I pose on the lanai overlooking Waikiki for a pre party photo. I was hitting the Sub Ball with my handsome husband. Mai Tai and the girls, well, they were being let loose on unsuspecting Waikiki for the evening.

Mai Tai and Brad reunited after the Sub Ball ready to get to the real party.

Mai Tai closed down the barefoot bar, drinking Rainbows, MaiTais and Tropical Itch with the sailors and southerns.

Happy Easter! Mai Tai hanging out with the Easter Bunny during brunch at the Hale Koa.
He ate so much...well...he was stuffed.

We begin our Circle Island Tour with Hanauma Bay.

Chinamen's Hat.

Turtles at Lani's. Where's Mai Tai? Don't worry, little squirrel, honu are vegetarians, but I still would not get too close, one never knows.

Hanging with the locals at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Mai Tai learned so much about the island cultures, enjoying the food, the activities and entertainment. He told me in confidence that he believes the ladies liked the strong half naked men (but he was just assuming) based on their glazed eyes during the fire dancing and drumming.

Back to the beginning, Seabreeze at Hickam Airforce Base. Mai Tai over does it with the strong drinks, and decides to sleep it off during our dinner. We close the place up and carry the exhausted little guy to the truck and our next stop.

Mai Tai gets his second wind and ends the night at Ruby Tuesdays at Pearl Harbor. Loud and obnoxious, he was sitting with his party on the lanai, away from the "normal" folk to laugh and carry on as those crazy southern squirrels are famous. It was a fun farewell and we were sad to see him and his chaperons to the airport at wee dark thirty in the morning the next day. We are glad they made it back to Georgia safe and look forward to their next visit to paradise.
